Working On My Dreams - Diners:
"Working On My Dreams" draws inspiration from the films Clockwatchers, Office Space, and 9 to 5 in its depiction of a bored young secretary (portrayed by Blue Broderick) fantasizing about getting revenge on her place of work. We had an amazing time exploring the gloriously kitschy office sets available at Nvisionate Studios and even got to smash a real printer!
Someday I'll Go Surfing - Diners:
This video was shot for less than ten dollars in Malibu with a skeleton crew consisting of myself, Rayne Taylor, and Blue Broderick. We hoped to convey the cheerful nostalgia of a vacation home movie with a slightly fantastic twist. I love the sequence of Blue boogie-boarding!
Ebbs & Flows - After Ours:
I was beyond honored to play a small role in the debut of Kayla Janowitz's music project After Ours. For her single "Ebbs & Flows," we spent a day at the Ventura County Fair taking in the sights, riding the rides, and hobbnobing with all the friendly critters at the petting zoo. The camera almost flew out of my cinematographer Rachel Lewis's hands while we were filming Kayla on the rollercoaster, but it was such a dreamy shoot otherwise!
Once Upon A Time - Azarene
I worked with the up-and-coming goth/industrial artist Azarene from October 2023 - January 2024 to help build his following via pop-up performances in the Los Angeles area and social media content. This music video, which I co-directed with Aries Wang, was a culmination of the aesthetic we had fine-tuned together after months of collaboration. It was such a special experience to take such a large role in the formation of a new artist's image, and I am very grateful to Azarene for trusting Aries and me with his songs and ideas.
